Carrillo Industries is recognized as one of the finest manufacture of connecting rods for high performance engines. The Carrillo connecting rod is a precision, high strength, quality piece. More than forty years of experience enable Carrillo to design and manufacture a connecting rod that reflects the optimum balance between lightweight and durability.
Carrillo was acquired in 2001 by a large motor sports parent company: Performance Motorsports Incorporated (PMI). PMI is a division of Dover Corporation (DOV: NYSE). As a result Carrillo has undergone some significant and very positive changes.
Among these changes are the capital expenditures that have allowed more timely manufacturing schedules as well as a broader selection of stock. As many of you may know we are within a group comprised of JE Pistons, Wiseco Pistons, and Perfect Bore among others. Most notably we are able to take advantage of the technological resources of other, larger companies.
Carrillo is constantly improving designs. These dynamic and aggressive improvements have allowed us the opportunity to offer a broader range of unique and specific application connecting rods and components. These efforts contribute to our continued successes within all motorsports.
To achieve the optimum design of your connecting rods we ask you to tell us about your engine and how you use it. If your situation requires a variation of a standard product or a completely unique design, consult our Custom Engineers. We offer several options to fit virtually all requirements. One of our most popular features is forced pin oiling for those customers who require direct lubrication to the wrist pin area. We also offer different options and configurations for many applications. Our engineers and technicians will offer direction and support in an effort to provide the most optimum design for your application.
At Carrillo we use a proprietary steel, manufactured and forged to our own custom specifications. After experimenting with virtually every other reasonable material, we have found this chromium/nickel/vanadium/molybdenum-forged alloy to be the best product to meet our stringent requirements.
